1.  The School of the Wise is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or older, and interested in learning more about Wicca.  Unfortunately, due to certain legal problems, we are uncomfortable with allowing minors to participate in our courses. If you register, you will be stating that you are 18 or older.

2.  At absolutely no time is it permissible for anyone to abuse another member of this School.  Abuse will include, but is not limited to: name calling;  flaming; degrading; threats of physical, spiritual or magickal violence; or statements such as "you are wrong".  Discussion is encouraged, and certainly everyone is entitled to their own belief's, but Book of Shadows thumping is not acceptable.

3.  There is absolutely no cost associated with the School, outside of the price of the texts being utilized for these courses.  I strongly recommend that everyone purchase the texts that we are using for each course.  Generally they will range in price from $10 to $20.  This is a small price to pay for the knowledge contained  in these texts.  I understand that more seasoned Wiccans will have some feelings regarding some authors.  Please do not downgrade any authors that we choose to use.  Regardless of your personal feelings, there is knowledge to be gained from all the texts.  
     If anyone suggesting they are associated with Web of Shadows or School of the Wise contacts you and requests any fee for these courses, please contact me immediately.

4.   Each participant will be expected to complete each course in order, and in a timely fashion.  It is recommended that participants attempt to complete at least one chapter per week.  I will attempt to have courses flow in order from very basic to more advanced.  However, I am not an educator and if someone requests to take a course out of order, those requests will be considered on an individual basis.

5.  Each participant will be expected to complete the exams and writing assignments for each section before continuing on to the next lesson.  It will be appreciated if everyone shares their learning with the group, however that will not be required.  This is for your own learning, and will be on the Honor System.  If you choose not to post your writing to the group, a simple note stating that you have completed the assignment will be sufficient. Remember, you are only cheating yourself if you do not complete the assignments.

6.  All work and communication with the group will be done online.  In order to facilitate communication with the group, each participant will be expected to sign up for the School of the Wise Egroups list.  This is simply done by typing your email address into the space below.  If you are not an Egroups member yet, you will be required to complete a short registration form on their site.

7.  In order to ensure that the School is able to ban anyone who continues to abuse these simple rules, I have set the group up so that I have to approve your registration.  I attempt to check my email daily, so there should be no delay in your approval to post to the group.  The courses will be in public domain so feel free to begin those as soon as you wish*.  Once I approve your registration, you will be able to post your thoughts and questions to the group.

8.  Finally, the School of the Wise is your school, and I welcome any thoughts and suggestions that you may have.  After you have become familiar with the structure that we have put in place, please take some time and offer suggestions as to how we can continue to improve our School.

     To enroll in the School of the Wise, simply type your email address into the space provided.  You may begin to read the courses as soon as you have signed up for the E-group.  I will make every effort to approve your registration within 24 hours.
